Tanzania is one of Africa’s premium honeymoon destinations in Africa. The ease of combining, a top-quality safari with the beaches of Zanzibar makes Tanzania one of the first countries to consider when choosing a honeymoon to Africa. Hot air balloon safaris, beautiful treehouses, outdoor dinners in the middle of the Serengeti, and Zanzibar’s beaches, this is a fantastic honeymoon destination and has superb weather year-round.
The choice of your itinerary mostly depends on your budget. There are some mind-blowing expensive lodges here, and we find that some clients want to splash out at points to get that exceptional lodge. We would like to stress, however, that a good lodge or camp is not necessarily about its level of luxury. The key to a good safari is lodge location, guidance, and character. Tanzania has some seriously good lodges at high prices. Below is an overview of lodges at different price levels and an insight into the various parts of the country.
A quick guide to Tanzania’s main honeymoon areas
Tanzania’s Northern circuit (the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, etc…) guarantees fantastic game viewing and has some stunning camps, some of which are regarded as some of Africa’s most beautiful, especially for honeymoons. The likes of the Serena Lodges, Sopa Lodges, Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, The Highlands Camp, and Serengeti Under Canvas, are extraordinary lodges that offer every luxury you could ever need. With these lodges starting at $500 p.p.p.n. However, they are certainly at the high end of the market Mbuzi Mawe, Sayari, Kubukubu Tented Lodge, Nomads Lamai, Sasakwa, Farufaru, Singita, and Tanzania Bush Camp are slightly more affordable yet still superb camps. However, we use Serengeti’s mobile camps for many honeymoons: The likes Katikati Tented Camp, Serengeti Wilderness Camp, and Olakira are more affordable, but still with excellent game viewing and are far more luxurious than clients expect! They come in at between $550 and $800 pp.

We love organizing African Honeymoons We’ve done thousands of them, and we’re very good at them. Our in-depth knowledge and experience of all the different lodges and suppliers (both on safari and at the beach) enable us to work with you to create a honeymoon itinerary that is perfect for you, whether it be remote and rustic or chic and luxurious, and whatever your preferences and budget… There is a bit more to itinerary planning than you might think; the ‘shape’ of the itinerary is essential. We like to arrange things such that each place you stay is a little better than the last, so you never suffer that nagging feeling that the last place you visited was better than the current one.
Day 1: Arrive in Zanzibar Island
Arrive in Zanzibar Island, pick up from Zanzibar Airport/Seaport transfer to Stone Town hotel check in for two nights. Half Board basis

Day 2: Stone Town and Prison Island Tours
After breakfast you will be picked up for Stone Town and Prison Island tour, will back to the hotel at evening.
Stone Town Tour; In Stone Town tour you will get a chance to explore and discover Zanzibar Old City. Stone Town tour offer you an opportunity to see former Slave Market, House of wonder, Oldest Anglican Church of Christ built by Bishop Steers in 1873 on the site where slaves were being auctioned and also see other local people in their daily activities as well, walking in some narrow streets of Stone Town.
Prison Tour; After walking around narrow alleys of Stone Town, then it is a relaxing time in Zanzibar Channel of the Indian Ocean is achieved when we take you to visit the small isle of the Western Coast of Zanzibar Island. You will visit the old Slave Prison ruins and the Aldabras giant Tortoise, once property of the Sultan Said Majid.

Day 3: Beach Hotel – Spice Tour
After breakfast you will be picked from Zanzibar Ocean View Hotel in Stone town, transfer to beach hotel check in for four nights. On transit you will guide to Spice tour includes seeing spice farms.
Spice Tour; You will be guided through a profusion of greenery in the countryside seeing, smelling and tasting a variety of mouth-watering tropical seasonal fruits, some examples are: jack fruit, pineapple, banana, green coconut (dafu), durian, love apple (tufaa), litchi (shoki-shoki), sour soup (mabungo) and many more. A full tour involves much more than spices and you will also have a chance to see the iodine plant, henna bush, ylang-ylang, the lipstick tree, cocoa and coffee trees.

Day 4: Full Day Relax at Beach Hotel
No excursion activities, leisure day and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Cultural Tour and Visiting Jozan Forest.
After breakfast you will be picked and guide for Culture tour in Nungwi coast, Northern of Zanzibar Island
Culture Tour;
This also known as Bush tours, you will be guided to the village in Zanzibar Island where you can experience the village life of the locals who are always busy carrying on with their daily activities like thatching, baskets making, weaving, pottery, grinding millets, rice, coconut rope making, coconut palm climbing, local cuisine cooking, Zanzibar aroma and incense, construction of local houses, bread making, spices, banana Plantations, seasonal fruits, local Koran schools, local traditional music/songs and dancers. This is four hours guided tour begins and ends at your hotel

Day 6: Departure
After breakfast or advised time, you will transfer to Zanzibar Seaport or Airport for your flight back home. End of Services.
